Distance Learning GCSE Maths Course

A distance learning course is the ideal way to gain GCSE Maths. Whether you're looking to go on to further education, improve your job prospects or expand your knowledge, distance learning GCSE Maths is a flexible and convenient course which allows you to comprehensively prepare for the GCSE Maths exam through home study. What's more, because the distance learning GCSE Maths course is a fully comprehensive course, no prior knowledge is required.

Exams:

Once you've enrolled on your chosen course(s), you'll receive all the information you need to arrange your exams*, including details of syllabuses, exam boards and dates. As exams are held in various parts of the UK, you shouldn't have to travel too far to sit them.

If you have any questions at any time about arranging your exams, the ICS Student Advisers will be pleased to help.

Exams take place in June and the exam enrolment deadlines are mid January. Coursework deadline is 31 March. 2 Written exams of 4 hours = 80% & Coursework = 20% of total exam

*Exam fees not included in course fee.  

Pre-requisites:

You do not need any special qualifications.  But you will require a scientific calculator, a set of compasses, a protractor and graph paper.

How does the paper based distance learning method work?


To make studying as flexible and convenient as possible, all the paper-based courses are divided into bite-sized modules that consist of clearly identified study units. You work through each unit at your own pace. At the end of each unit there is a testpaper for you to complete and send to your tutor for marking. Your tutor will return this to you with your mark and any comments.
With all our courses you only move on a new module after successfully completing the previous one - and only when you feel ready. With useful tips and self-assessments at every stage, you'll find your confidence and ability increasing steadily as you progress.
