E-Learning using Computer Based Training

All our courses use Computer Based Training (CBT) software to train and assess you as you progress through your lesson. We use CBT, because E Learning does not vary in quality from day to day, class to class, or environment to environment, the information conveyed and presentation remains consistent. Studies indicate that technology based training can reduce learning time requirements due to the self paced instruction, familiar media, immediate interaction, feedback and personalised instruction

E-Learning provides motivation through immediate responsive feedback and individual involvement. As a student you are given greater flexibility, control and responsibility for your own learning process.

Support

Keimos provides free technical support for issues involving installation of the course software and tutorial support for Desk Top courses, web design and introductory networking courses. For the more advanced courses support is optional, but where you choose to have support this is provided by Keimos or International Correspondence Schools (ICS) who pioneered the concept of distance learning as far back as 1890. In ICS a student will have the back up of the world leader in distance learning with the re-assurance of support from qualified advisors.

Exams

Exam fees are not included in the price of our courses because they can be sat at any Authorised testing centre in the world. So whether you are moving house or country your course can travel with you and you can then take the exam at your nearest testing centre. All IT qualifications are now taken on-line and are either adaptive exams, multi-choice or interactive assessments. For IT Certification, you have to know your subject, which is why we use the NETg training software as it provides full testing facilities.

Office Skills

European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

This course introduces the learner to the basic physical make-up of a personal computer and covers some of the basic concepts of Information Technology (IT) such as data storage and memory, computer-based software applications and the uses of information networks within computing. The learner shall also gain an understanding word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and Internet usage with e-mail. On successful completion students will be able to take the internationally recognised ECDL qualification.
